My story.
Hi, I’m Avril (she/her)!
I grew up on a farm in rural Maine, always knowing I was meant to see more of the world. After a few years in Florida and Massachusetts where I earned my degree in Art Education, taught art to all ages, and worked as a studio potter, I felt a stirring I couldn’t ignore. In 2013, I made a promise to myself: to stop settling and start creating the life I dreamed of.
I wanted to live a life with intention and purpose. A life where I was surrounded by love in all forms. A life where I would wake up each morning grateful for everything I had been given. A life full of new experiences and with the least amount of regrets.
That decision changed everything.
In March of 2014, with nothing but a one-way ticket to Bangkok and a heart full of hope, I left my jobs and set out on a solo journey around the world. Seven countries later, I returned transformed and with a strong new sense of self, a passion for yoga, a deep love for humanity, and, most importantly, the confidence to live with intention.
Since then, I’ve explored 20+ countries and territories, earned my 200-hour Yoga Teaching Certification with Rachel Brathen (Yoga Girl®) and Lara Heimann in Aruba, and launched my own company to help others live creatively and intentionally. My work now spans custom artwork, public speaking, commercial modeling and marketing support for entrepreneurs, creatives, and nonprofits - all rooted in creativity, connection, and service.
Today, I call Portland, Maine home. It’s here that I weave together my passions of art, yoga, travel, community, and growth into everything I do. My hope is that by sharing my story and my work, I can leave a positive mark on the world. A “dandy line,” you might say…
