My story.

Hi All!  For those of you I have yet to meet, let me introduce myself. I'm Avril (she/her)!  Growing up on a farm in rural Maine, I always had the itch to get out of my small town. I eventually spent some time living in Florida before moving to Massachusetts.  While there I received my degree in Art Education, taught art to all ages, got involved in curriculum and program development, and worked as a studio potter.  In 2013 I made a conscious decision to evaluate my life, and my role in it, having observed that there just has to be more than what I was experiencing. It was that summer in which I made a solid commitment to create the life that I had dreamed of.

While that sounds simple, the path getting there was far more difficult, and at the time I was unsure what that would even look like exactly.  All I knew was that I wanted to live a life with intention and purpose.  A life where I was surrounded by love in all forms.  A life where I would wake up each morning  grateful for everything I had been given.  A life full of new experiences and with the least amount of regrets.

In March of 2014 with a one way ticket to Bangkok, I left my jobs and embarked upon a solo journey around the world.  Seven countries later, I returned with a new sense of self, a passion for yoga, a love for humanity, a vision of what I wanted out of life, but, most importantly, the confidence to make it all possible.

Since that first adventure I have been to 19 countries, received my 200-hour Yoga Teaching Certification with Rachel Brathen (Yoga Girl®) and Lara Heimann (one of many dreams come true), and started my own company to teach others how to live creative lives with intention. I currently have a home base in Portland, Maine and am using my passion for art, service, yoga, creativity, personal growth, travel, and community to do what I can to leave a positive mark on the world. “A dandy line”, one might say...

Follow my journey.
